Work at TA-SWISS Klein

TA-SWISS is an independent, publicly funded foundation and a member of the Swiss Academies of Arts and Sciences a+. As defined in the Federal Act on the Promotion of Research and Innovation, TA-SWISS is charged with the comprehensive evaluation of the opportunities and risks posed by new technologies already at an early stage in their development. The Foundation commissions independent and interdisciplinary scientific studies for decision-makers in politics and business as well as for interested persons in the general public. TA-SWISS also cultivates dialogue between stakeholders in politics, the economy and society on controversial technologies that affect large sections of Switzerland’s population.

Information for project groups

As a rule, TA-SWISS studies are conducted by external project groups. For this reason, a public call for proposals is issued after the TA-SWISS Steering Committee has released the financial resources to carry out a study and approved the wording of the call. The announcement is placed in the TA-SWISS newsletter and on our homepage, on the ‘Projects’ page.
